Thaer Khalil

Thaer Khalil is well known for his role in the field of mediation, especially in the context of juvenile criminal justice in Palestine. Thaer Khalil holds the position of Chief Prosecutor of the Juvenile Prosecution Office and has participated in organizing numerous workshops and trainings on the implementation of the mediation system in juvenile cases. The aim of these workshops is to activate and implement mediation in accordance with the Juvenile Protection Law, including Article 23, and to discuss proper institutionalization of mediation and support the role of the Public Prosecution in this field. He is a certified international trainer and expert in the field of juvenile mediation for many international, regional, and local institutions and Arab judicial institutes, and has participated in many international and local conferences on mediation in juvenile cases.
