Rahim Shamji is an internationally distinguished mediator and barrister, he has been at the forefront of dispute resolution for over two decades. Called to the Bar in 2000 and practising as a mediator since 2005, he has mediated in excess of 750 cases worldwide, including complex, high-value cross-border disputes alongside sensitive domestic matters.

His practice spans family, civil, commercial, and workplace disputes, with a recognised specialism in cross-cultural mediation. He is particularly regarded for his ability to navigate intricate legal and cultural dynamics in international matters, bringing strategic insight, discretion, and commercial acumen to each case.

As CEO and Founder of ADR ODR International, he has led the organisation’s global expansion across more than 45 jurisdictions, establishing it as a leading provider of innovative dispute resolution services and training. He has trained over 5,000 mediators internationally and is widely acknowledged for his contribution to shaping contemporary mediation practice.

A pioneer in the field of online dispute resolution, he qualified in online mediation in 2014 and continues to drive the integration of technology and AI into dispute resolution frameworks.

He is a Fellow of the Civil Mediation Council and a Certified Mediator with both the International Mediation Institute and the Singapore International Mediation Institute, reflecting his standing among the leading practitioners in the field.

He also holds distinguished academic appointments, leading ADR Theory and Context on the mediation module at Queen Mary University of London and serving as Visiting Professor in mediation, negotiation, and legal technology at the University of Lausanne.
