Liliana Amione
Liliana Amione is a lawyer and a nationally and internationally certified mediator with a multidisciplinary background in law, mediation, and public policy. Since beginning her journey in dispute resolution in 2017, she has actively practiced mediation across a range of civil, commercial, and family contexts. She is accredited as a mediator by the Ministry of Justice of Santa Fe, Argentina, and is internationally recognized as a Certified Comprehensive Family Mediator by Family Mediation Canada (FMC) and as an IMI Certified Mediator by the International Mediation Institute (IMI).
Since 2021, she has served as Head of Program Quality and Assessment at the International Mediation Institute (IMI), where she oversees the quality assurance and development of mediation training and assessment programs worldwide. In this role, she evaluates applications, coordinates appraisals and re-appraisals, and leads initiatives to expand IMI’s network, with a particular focus on Latin America.
In 2023, she was awarded the prestigious Weinstein JAMS International Fellowship to explore dispute resolution processes and practices in the United States, with a particular focus on mandatory mediation and mediation advocacy. She served as Director of the Mediation Institute at the Rafaela Bar Association (2022–early 2025), where she led initiatives to enhance mediation policy and practice. She also regularly delivers lectures and facilitates conflict resolution workshops for young lawyers and educators.
She has participated in internationally renowned mediation and dispute resolution programs, including Mediating the Litigated Case at the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution, Pepperdine University Caruso School of Law (Malibú, CA) and the international training Promoting Mediation through Private and Court-Connected Mediation Centers at the University of California College of the Law, San Francisco (CA). She further strengthened her expertise in Dispute System Design (DSD) by completing the Analytic Framework for Dispute System Design course at Stanford University (CA), refining her ability to assess and develop effective conflict resolution systems.
Liliana holds a Master’s degree in Administrative Law from the National University of Rosario (Argentina), where her thesis focused on the integration of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) into municipal public administration in line with principles of good governance. Drawing on her experience as legal counsel in municipal government, she examined how ADR tools, particularly mediation, could improve administrative processes. Her academic training also includes a specialization in Public Policy with a Gender Perspective (Ibero-American Union of Municipalists and UN Women, Granada) and a postgraduate diploma in International Human Rights Law in the Argentine Legal System (National University of Rosario).
