Aya Emam is a legal executive with 16+ years of experience across top-tier law firms and multinational in-house roles, spanning corporate commercial, M&A, regulatory, and finance matters in the UAE, KSA, USA, Canada, and Turkey. She currently serves as Director of Legal at Jawaker (part of Stillfront Group).

Her career has included senior legal leadership positions at Modon Holding Asset Management, Agthia PJSC, and BMB Group, where she led mergers and acquisitions, post completion integrations, and the design of corporate governance and compliance frameworks across multiple jurisdictions. She has advised executive leadership and boards in fast paced, high growth environments, from startups to listed conglomerates and government linked entities.

Aya is an Egyptian qualified lawyer, holding an LLB from Ain Shams University and a Private Law Diploma from the same institution, and is a member of the Egyptian Bar. She is bilingual in Arabic and English, with full drafting ability in both languages. She is also currently pursuing an MSc in Investment Management, reflecting her belief that understanding how capital moves is as essential to sound counsel as understanding how contracts bind.

Aya is an accredited mediator with both ADR ODR International and SIMI (the Singapore International Mediation Institute). Having spent over a decade and a half inside boardrooms, deal rooms, and courtrooms, she has seen how often litigation delivers a verdict without delivering resolution: how it can settle a dispute on paper while leaving the underlying relationship, and often the deal itself, damaged beyond repair. Mediation, for her, is not a lesser alternative to law but a more sophisticated application of it, faster, less adversarial, and far better suited to preserving the commercial relationships that businesses depend on to keep growing. It is this conviction, that resolution should be the industry's first instinct, not its last resort, that drives her commitment to the practice.
