Arran Dowling-Hussey is a barrister, mediator and arbitrator with a master's degree in European Economics and Public Affairs from University College, Dublin in the Republic of Ireland and a Master's degree in European Union (Commercial) Law from the University of Leicester in England. He is accredited as a mediator and has mediated numerous cases dealing with family, community and commercial disputes. His expertise in Alternative Dispute Resolution has been recognised by his appointment as a full adjunct professor of law at University College Cork and at Gujarat Maritime University. He is a former member of the then Chartered Institute of Arbitrators ('Ciarb') Board of Management (2013-2015) and the Ciarb Board of Trustees  (2017-2024). Arran has often spoken and contributed to legal journals on topics relating to mediation.
