Afafe Jaafar has over 20 years of experience in the banking and legal sectors. She served at Citibank Maghreb as a legal and Compliance Officer, then at Bank of Africa as Head of Legal Affairs and later Head of Ethics and Compliance in the same bank. Also, she led the Banking Litigation Department at a Moroccan law firm.

Certified as a mediator since 2017, she coaches at the Francophone International Mediation Competition in Paris and trains future mediators at a High French school in Casablanca ESA (Ecole Supérieure des Affaires), she has received specialized training in Commercial Mediation through the Business Mediation Center (CME) of the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Morocco (CFCIM). She is also a published author, with notable contributions to both academic and professional platforms. Her writings include: Banking Mediation, Mediation and Related ADR Methods, The Mediator’s Code of Ethics, The Corporate Mediator (upcoming publication)

Her work has been featured in the economic journal “Conjuncture” and on the LexisNexis legal platform. She actively participates in international forums and conferences on mediation and ADR, with engagements in Morocco, France, Qatar, Tunisia, and Egypt. She is a proud member of the International Academy of Mediation and arbitration (Egypt), reinforcing her global outlook and collaborative approach to conflict resolution.

Finally, Afafe Jaafar is a dedicated legal expert from Morocco with a passion for ethical practice, mediation, and conflict resolution. Known for her integrity, clarity and leadership, she brings a human-centered approach to law and compliance. She holds a Master’s Degree in Private and Public Law from the University of Perpignan Via Domitia (France), where she authored a thesis on Banking Mediation, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Private Law (French Law Track) from the Faculty of Legal, Economic and Social Sciences in Morocco.
