Lyndon Richards is a Partner in the Dubai office of Beale & Co and Head of the firm & Middle East Insurance Practice. He is a CEDR Accredited Mediator and was appointed to the DIFC Courts Panel of Mediators in 2026.

Lyndon has more than 30 years' experience advising clients on complex construction, engineering, insurance and commercial disputes across the UK, the Middle East and internationally. His experience includes litigation, arbitration, adjudication, mediation and other forms of alternative dispute resolution, acting on behalf of contractors, developers, consultants, insurers, shareholders and commercial organisations. Prior to returning to private practice, Lyndon served as Chief Legal Officer for AECOM Middle East and Africa and previously Senior Legal Director for Atkins (now AtkinsRéalis) in the Middle East and North Africa.

In both roles he was a member of the regional senior leadership teams and provided strategic advice on legal risk, dispute resolution, governance and commercial decision making across major projects and businesses throughout the region. Throughout his career, Lyndon has been involved in the resolution of a wide variety of disputes through negotiated settlement processes, mediations, arbitrations and litigation. He has participated in mediations concerning professional negligence claims involving engineers and architects, shareholder disputes, insurance-related matters and wider commercial conflicts.

Lyndon brings a unique combination of private practice, in-house and executive leadership experience to dispute resolution. Having advised boards, senior executives, insurers and project stakeholders throughout his career, he understands both the legal and commercial drivers that influence settlement decisions. He has a particular interest in mediating construction, engineering, infrastructure, insurance, professional services, shareholder and wider commercial disputes. His approach is pragmatic, commercially focused and directed towards helping parties identify durable and practical solutions that allow them to move forward.
