Julufa IslamChoudhury is a legal professional, Triple AccreditedInternational Mediator (IMI, CMC & SIMI), and contracts specialistwith over 10 years of legal experiencespanning litigation, commercial law & construction contracts.

She holds a B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) and an LL.M.in Criminology, graduating as a Gold Medalist, a distinction that reflects her strong academic foundation andanalytical approach to complex legal and commercial matters. Prior torelocating to the United Arab Emirates, Julufa practiced as an Advocate in India, gaining extensive experience in litigation, legal advocacy, and disputemanagement, including appearing before the Supreme Court of India.

Earlier in her career, Julufa worked with leading legal advocacy organisations, advising on public interest litigation,legal research, legal literacy initiatives, and stakeholder engagement. She also served as a Part-Time Lecturer atJamia Millia Islamia, delivering postgraduate lectures, and as a Consultant with the School of Law, IndiraGandhi National Open University (IGNOU), India. These roles strengthenedher expertise in legal analysis, negotiation, advocacy, communication, andconsensus-building—skills that continue to underpin her approach to mediation and dispute resolution.

Driven by a genuine passion for helping parties resolve conflicts constructively, Julufa is internationally accredited by the International Mediation Institute (IMI), the Civil Mediation Council (CMC), and the Singapore International Mediation Institute (SIMI). She believes that effective mediation extends beyond resolving disputes; it preserves relationships, encourages collaboration, and delivers practical, sustainable, and mutually beneficial outcomes. Currently serving as a Legal and Contracts Manager within the UAE construction industry, Julufa manages complex, high-value contractual portfolios with a strong emphasis on risk management, dispute avoidance, and commercial strategy. Over the past decade in the UAE, she has developed extensive expertise in the administration of FIDIC Red Book contracts, contractor-side claims, extensions of time (EOT), variations, contractual negotiations, and commercial settlements. Her pragmatic and commercially focused approach prioritizes early intervention and negotiated solutions that protect clients' interests while preserving long-term business relationships.

In addition to construction law, Julufa hassignificant experience advising on UAE commercial and contractual matters,including complex commercial and financial disputes. Her unique combination oflitigation experience, contract administration expertise, and mediation skillsenables her to appreciate both the legal and commercial dimensions of disputes,allowing her to facilitate balanced, practical, and durable resolutions.
