Ines Khalifa
Ines Khalifa is a dispute resolution and peacebuilding expert with nearly 13 years of international experience in political mediation, negotiation, labour disputes, Trauma-informed mediation, facilitation, and dialogue processes across Africa, the Middle East, and Europe.
Her work includes Track 1.5 political mediation, workplace and community mediation, peacebuilding initiatives, and conflict-sensitive facilitation with international organizations, diplomatic institutions, and civil society actors. She has also worked on peer mediation initiatives in schools in Germany and has extensive experience in intercultural dialogue and community-based conflict resolution.
She holds a Master of Arts in Peace and Conflict Studies from Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg (2017). She has received advanced professional training in mediation, political negotiations, trauma sensitivity, systems design, nonviolent communication, and peacebuilding from leading international institutions, including The Santa Monica Centre for Dispute Resolution, OSCE, Austrian Centre for Conflict Resolution, Quaker Institute in Brussels, German Foreign Office, the Geneva Centre for Security Policy, Mary Hoch Centre for Reconciliation and Kurve, Wustrow. She has been mentored by internationally recognized mediator Kenneth Cloke.
She was selected by the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations and the Mediterranean Academy of Diplomatic Studies to participate in international summer schools and specialized training programs on mediation, diplomacy, and dialogue. She has also participated in numerous United Nations–supported workshops on community mediation and the role of tribal leadership in conflict resolution in Muscat.
In 2016, she participated in the Geneva Peace Talks on Syria and has since continued to engage in international peacebuilding and mediation initiatives. She has received professional training in Brussels, Vienna, Geneva, Berlin, and the United States.
Throughout her career, she has worked with respected international organizations and institutions, including the United Nations, The Carter Centre, Bosch organisation and the German Embassy.
She speaks Arabic, English, German, and French fluently, and also has conversational knowledge of Italian and Spanish.
