Haris Meidanis
Haris Meidanis is Managing Partner at Meidanis, Seremetakis & Associates Law Firm, based in Athens, Greece. He is Fellow at the Chartered Institute of Arbitration of London, he is a certified mediator (CIArb and Hellenic Ministry of Justice), member of the British Institute of International and Comparative Law, and member of the ICC Institute of World Business Law. He served as member of the Supervisory Board of the Hellenic Corporation of Assets and Participations (HCAP) from December 2019 to August 2024. He is the Director of the Athens Mediation and Arbitration Centre (EODID), the leading Greek ADR centre. He regularly acts as mediator or arbitrator and has significant expertise and experience in business law, corporate law, and international transactions disputes.
In relation to mediation, he has served as mediator in diverse types of cases, such as Family/ Property Issues, Shareholders’ disputes, Commercial agreements, Energy, Construction, Tourism and Family/ succession. Haris has graduated from the Law School of Athens, holds an LL.M. in international business law from the University of Londοn (Queen Mary College) and a Ph.D in private international law from the Department of International and European Studies of Panteion University of Athens (2003) and has lectured on private international law, international trade law, law of international transactions, arbitration and mediation in universities in Greece and abroad. He has over 60 publications on private international law, arbitration and mediation and has participated extensively in legal training in relation to private international law in the EU in accession countries.
