Faten Ben Lamine
Faten Ben Lamine is a seasoned attorney, certified mediator, and international trainer in mediation, with over 15 years of experience in the field of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR). She holds a Master’s Degree in Business Law (2005) and a Bachelor’s Degree in Law (2002) from the Faculty of Law, Economics and Political Science in Sousse, Tunisia. Her academic background laid a strong foundation for a career marked by a commitment to legal excellence and a passion for peaceful conflict resolution.
Faten is a graduate of IFOMENE – the Institute for Training in Mediation and Negotiation in Paris – and holds multiple certifications in mediation and mediation training from esteemed institutions such as the International Mediation Center (IMC) and the Qualiopi-accredited Algy Bret Center in France. She has also completed advanced training in peacebuilding and leadership through international programs, including the QSP Strategic Peacebuilder Training with the UK team led by Peter Radel in 2024.
Since 2005, she has been registered as a lawyer in Tunisia and is the founder and managing director of Lamine International Law, Mediation & Arbitration (LIAMA). Through LIAMA, she has combined her legal expertise with a deep commitment to ADR, offering specialized services in mediation, arbitration, and legal consultancy. Her journey in mediation began in 2009 and has since evolved into a lifelong mission to institutionalize and promote peaceful dispute resolution both locally and internationally.
Faten is a certified trainer in mediation and conflict resolution and has facilitated numerous training programs for bar associations, civil society organizations, and academic institutions.
She serves as a trainer at the Higher Institute for Advocacy (ISPA) in Tunisia and is frequently invited to speak and conduct training sessions in regional and international forums. Her dedication to the development of professional standards in mediation is further reflected in her roles as a board member and certified fellow at the Arab Trainers Union, and as a former member of the Scientific Committee of the Center for Studies, Research, and Documentation for Lawyers in Central Tunisia (2019–2022).
She is accredited as a mediator and arbitrator by several reputable institutions, including the Libyan Center for International Commercial Arbitration, the Aqaba Gulf Center for Consultation and International Arbitration, and the Elite Center for Commercial Arbitration in Egypt. She also collaborates with international NGOs such as Lawyers Without Borders (ASF), where she serves as a legal advisor.
In addition to her professional commitments, Faten is actively engaged in peacebuilding initiatives. She is a member of Initiatives of Change International and has participated in programs such as the “Peace Makers” training and the “Strategic Qualities of Future Peacebuilders” (QSP) workshop.
Fluent in Arabic and French, and proficient in English, Faten Ben Lamine continues to champion the cause of mediation with a unique blend of legal rigor, ethical commitment, and a deep belief in the power of dialogue to resolve conflict.
