Charlotte Ibañez
With a stellar career spanning 29 years, including the last 18 years in the UAE, Charlotte Ibáñez has spent her time leading diverse teams in multinational organizations. Throughout her professional life, she has developed a strong foundation in law, corporate governance, employment, international trade relations, and conflict resolution. This extensive background has cultivated a clear understanding of market dynamics, corporate strategies, business solutions, people management, and emerging trends across a wide range of industries.
Charlotte holds a Juris Doctorate and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a major in International Relations. Her Master of Laws degree in the American Legal System was completed at Michigan State University. Additionally, she has obtained a Certificate in The Law and Economics of Mergers and Acquisitions from the London School of Economics and Political Science. Recently, she completed the Certificate of Advanced Studies in International Law and Diplomacy by the International Law Association and Nigerian Institute of Advanced Legal Studies. Furthermore, aside from being a Certified Balance Scorecard Professional from George Washington University, she is a Certified IMS Auditor, along with a certification in Advance Commercial and Contract Management from Franklin University. She has also completed several trainings in ADR including Arbitration, Mediation Advocacy and Practice as well as Civil Facilitative Mediator.
In her current role as Director of EC Legal Consultancy FZ LLC, and previously at El Channun Management Consultancy FZC LLC, Charlotte is part of a team that provides valuable consultancy services and training solutions to SMEs and multinational corporations. Her involvement in various international organizations, such as the United Nations ESCWA-DEPAR, Asian Academy of International Law, and Women in Ethics & Compliance Global, underscores her commitment to global engagement and professional development. Previously, she was part of the DIAC 40 Young Practitioner's Group and had held associate memberships with the Dubai International Arbitration Centre (DIAC) and the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development, UK.
Charlotte is a firm believer in lifelong learning and champions a culture of curiosity, keeping abreast with the latest international trends in alternative dispute resolution to address potential conflicts with a nuanced understanding of global dynamics.
