Anushka Iyer is a Civil & Commercial Mediator and legal professional with a focused practice in dispute resolution, negotiation and commercial law. Her engagement with mediation has developed through formal mediation training, competitive mediation, institutional ADR roles and practical exposure to disputes, complemented by her experience within corporate and legal environments. Her mediation experience is complemented by exposure to national and international dispute resolution forums, including competitive mediation and arbitration. Her experience has cultivated a facilitative approach to dispute resolution, with an emphasis on understanding underlying interests, managing competing perspectives and working towards practical and sustainable outcomes.

 As an advocate registered with the Bar Council of Maharashtra and Goa, she has acquired substantive exposure to Indian court practice, with experience spanning civil and commercial disputes, legal research, pleadings, drafting, case strategy and litigation support.  
Alongside her ADR practice, Anushka has developed significant exposure to corporate risk, regulatory compliance and contractual matters through her work with one of the Big 6 in the UAE, as well as litigation and legal advisory experience in India. Her current professional and academic focus in Banking and Finance Law further strengthens her ability to approach commercial disputes with an understanding of financial, regulatory and transactional considerations. This combination allows her to view disputes not only through a legal lens, but also in the context of commercial realities, risk allocation and long-term business relationships.Anushka is also the Founder of Samarasa Resolution International, a mediation service provider and mediation training institute, through which she is developing initiatives in mediation, negotiation and dispute resolution. Her work reflects a broader commitment to making ADR more accessible, practical and responsive to evolving commercial and social needs. With an increasingly international outlook spanning India, the UAE and the UK, she is building a mediation practice grounded in legal rigour, cultural adaptability and collaborative resolution, while bringing together her interests in finance, entrepreneurship, dispute resolution and access to justice.
