Ali Mohiuddin
Ali Mohiuddin is a Pakistani-qualified Advocate and internationally accredited Civil/Commercial Mediator with a professional focus on civil, criminal, commercial, and constitutional litigation, alternative dispute resolution, and international arbitration. He is currently practising as an Associate Partner with Mohiuddin & Mohiuddin Advocates & Litigators in Pakistan, where his practice includes conducting legal research, drafting pleadings and legal opinions, supporting complex litigation, and representing clients before the courts of Pakistan.
Ali is a Triple Accredited Civil/Commercial Mediator through ADR ODR International, with the programme accredited by the International Mediation Institute (IMI), Singapore International Mediation Institute (SIMI), and the Civil Mediation Council (CMC), United Kingdom. He is also a Gazette-notified Accredited Mediator under the Alternative Dispute Resolution (Accreditation) Rules, 2023 by the Ministry of Law & Justice, Government of Pakistan, and holds an International Associate Arbitrator certification.
He holds an LL.B. (Hons) (Second Class Upper, 2:1) from the University of Bedfordshire, United Kingdom, along with a Certificate of Higher Education in Common Law from the University of London, with academic and professional interests in alternative dispute resolution, constitutional law, and international arbitration.
Ali is actively involved in the development and promotion of alternative dispute resolution in Pakistan. He serves as Secretary of the Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Committee of the District Bar Association Rawalpindi, notably standing as one of the youngest secretaries of any subcommittee of a bar council and as a Member of the Chairman's Initiative Team for the Human Rights Committee of the Punjab Bar Council, contributing to initiatives relating to mediation, arbitration, amicable dispute settlement, and access to efficient and cost-effective dispute resolution mechanisms.
His ADR professional development includes specialised training in Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) and Artificial Intelligence, a three-day WIPO Mediation and Arbitration Workshop, and training on emerging global practices in arbitration and mediation. He is also engaged with international dispute-resolution networks including Young ICCA, Young ICSID, Young WIPO ADR, the Tashkent International Arbitration Centre, the Young International Arbitration Group (YIAG) of the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA), and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb).
Ali is particularly interested in international commercial mediation, cross-border dispute resolution, and the development of modern, technology-enabled ADR mechanisms. He is committed to delivering practical, client-focused legal solutions while upholding the highest standards of professional integrity.
