Adel Anwar served as Head of Legal Department of a renowned British Private Medical Insurance Company where his experience spans to different areas of insurance and Reinsurance Law in Egypt and UK. Previously, he was the Regional Chief Legal and Compliance Officer one of the biggest American Property and Casualty Insurance company. Also, he was the Head of Legal and Compliance Department a renowned Japanese insurance company.

Adel was member of the Dispute Resolution team of renowned private in Egypt. He was involved in a wide variety of Litigation, Mediation, Arbitration, Negotiation of Debt Recovery and Debt Restructuring matters. Adel Anwar worked for renowned law firms in Egypt and the region. His main area of practise was Islamic Finance, Corporate and Dispute Resolution. He advised on transactions and disputes involving the commercial laws and regulations of many Middle Eastern countries, including Egypt, the UAE, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and Libya.

Adel obtained his LL.M. degree from Indiana University, Robert H. McKinney School of law, USA, International and comparative law track. Dissertation Independence and impartiality of arbitrators from different perspectives. He holds Private Law diploma Ain shams University. He obtained his Law Degree from Ain Shams University’s Faculty of Law, English Section. Adel is Certified from the Chartered Institute of Insurance, London. Adel is member of the Legal Committee of the Insurance Federation of Egypt.

In 2022, Adel received individual recognition as In-House Counsel of the year in Insurance by the Legal Community MENA Awards.
